Of course while shooting the last two posts, we had many bloopers. Especially because the photos we wanted to get took some serious sand rolling. Some shots included laying on our backs in order to produce the pure sky and swing photos. At the end, we also both hopped on a swing at the same time while I attempted to take photos of us both. You can only imagine all the dirty looks we were getting from 5 year olds wondering what the hell we were doing moving in on their jam. Half were impressed, half were amused.
(I just missed snapping the photo at the right time on this one)
(It took a while for us to figure out when to snap)
(The shadow shots are my favorites)
In some unexplainable way, these photos say a lot about us. We both always have crazy ideas that the other is always up to try. I love that Chelsea never thinks I have a bad idea and I always love her ideas. No matter how impossible they can sound, I know that we both have it in us to let our imaginations come to life.
After snapping some photos of Chels on the swings, we swapped places and she took some awesome shots. We took turns swinging and rolling the sand to take the photos and had so much fun producing these photos. It’s funny to be ‘posing’ while swinging because although they are static shots, you are constantly moving. In a sense, you never know what you’re going to get. A lot like Forest Gump’s definition of a box of chocolates.
Check back tomorrow for some awesome bloopers for these past two shoots. You know these weren’t easy and we definitely have some great photos to prove it

You ever get to the point where you have more clothes in your closet than you could wear in a month? Well, I’m there now and I some of my things are too ratty to even donate so Britt came up with an idea to save a pair of jeans. It’s really easy, just cut the ends into a scallop shape and turn them into a cuter version of “jorts”.
(Lay the jean flat and start cutting at the edge)
(Create the scallop shape cut)
(Apply fabric glue to the ends to avoid tearing)
(I made mine hit just above my knees)
(It really adds a little something to your Summer look)
I am a big fan of simple DIY projects, they make me excited to make something old look new again!
My friend Liz is in this amazing band, Delta Rae. And I have been meaning to write about them for a while because while their sound it kind of folky, it is super unique and they are one of my favorite bands to see live. Today was the first time that I saw their video for one of my favorite songs called “If I Loved You”. I love it and to make it even better Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac helped out with some guitar elements.
(You can see Britt and I watching the band play at Cafe du Nord in the Castro about a year ago)
They have been experiencing some major success like performing on Jay Leno, Conan, and being a featured artist on VH1. I just have to share this video with you. Please take a few minutes to watch it, I know you will love it too!

Yesterday we got the chance to meet Paramore and we had a blast. They were a lot of fun and super nice! We were reminded of so many reasons why we love Hayley Williams! With their fourth album coming up this April, we thought we’d break down our favorite looks of Haley’s.
(This is a super natural look that highlights her beautiful features)
(Hot pink lipstick adds some color to her porcelain skin)
(Her lashes add some glam to her signature red hair)
(Don’t forget to catch Hayley on the cover of our favorite magazine, Nylon this June/July!)
( We love this song that will be the next single on the upcoming album “Still Into You”)
She’s a breath of fresh air and ultra talented. It’s nice to reminded that you can have it all!

I was doing some Spring cleaning and found an old t-shirt that I used to love. It had shrunk a lot and kind of grunged down so I was ready to toss it when all of the sudden an idea came to me. Why not re-invent something I already have? I started snipping and studding and ended up with an awesome new tank top that is now my new favorite! It was super easy and I did it in less than 15 minutes. Here’s how.
(This was the original)
(First chop was the new, low neck line)
(I chopped in a rounded “V” to avoid making too low of a cut top)
(Next to chop was the sleeves. I followed close to the sleeve line in front to make sure there’s no unintentional side boob going on.)
(The back I cut much deeper towards the middle to make more of a racer-back tank. I also chopped off the back of the neck hem.)
(I bought some studs from the local craft store and started placing them on the tank)
(I used jewelry pliers to begin to press the backs of the studs because they are sharp. However, you can do this with your fingers as well)
(I positioned them before fastening to make sure they were even. You can put as many or little as you’d like)
(Push the studs through the material and then bend the backs to fasten the studs on)
(Then try the tank on and make any cutting adjustments from here. It’s best to start modest and then cut as necessary)
Ta da! New, old shirt has officially transformed!

We are such fans of colors and convenience. Sometimes, you run out the door and don’t have time to throw on your new necklace or rings that you wanted to. However, you can always look fun and stylish by pairing these fun nail polishes with fun purses. We did some color matching and think these are all great color pairings for Spring!
(We love this hot pink neon polish with the cobalt blue purse from Urban Outfitters)
(This little purse I found in a tiny shop in Italy back in 2007. I adore it and it’s a special travel memory that’s never gone out of style. Perfect to pair with a soft, romantic color)
(Subtle rainbow tweed and a bright accent color go great together)
(This top shop purse is one of my favorites)
Spring is on it’s way!

Although I tend to love wearing black because it’s more flattering, I do tend to also love bright colors and especially floral prints. Since the weather has been so nice lately here in San Francisco, it’s easy to embrace Spring before it arrives. Who says you can’t wear a skirt in the winter?
(Loving the Nordstrom Brass Plum necklaces they have right now)
(Love my dark purple pumps, they were actually hand-me-downs from my frover Chels )
(Uneven cardigan length is like a mullet – business in front, party in the back)
(I even stepped on the wild side and added some cheetah print in with the floral print)
Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend
Since it hasn’t been too rainy, I’ve been trying to enjoy the outdoors on the weekends. The trick to this is layering your clothing because naturally you will get warm from a hike but it’s not worth sucking up the cold at the beginning in just a long sleeve shirt. Adding a warm beanie or ear covering fleece headband can help too. I hit some East Bay trails this past weekend with my mom and we really enjoyed the colors and paths that the hiking trails had to offer. The same trails can look different throughout all the seasons.
We had to go through a farm gate or two because some areas cows were roaming freely.
It’s always nice to get exercise with fresh air. I’d prefer working out outdoors over a gym any day. I can’t wait for the nights when it’s light out longer and I can enjoy being outdoors after work. There are a TON of trail heads throughout the bay area that are worthy of checking out. You never know, there could be one right in your back yard!
