New Years Nails

We’re back!  Well I’m back while Chelsea prances around Paris.  We hope you all had a great holiday though and a great week.  Chelsea wanted special nails for Paris since she will be spending the New Year under the sparkling lights of the Eiffel Tower.  This is very easy, considering our last nail attempt was a fail.

IMG_64931.  Paint your nails with a flat color coat that you want to go with the color sparkles you will use.

IMG_6501 2.  Once the first coat dries, start painting the sparkles on the very end of your nails lightly.  Apply as much as you’d like.

IMG_65253.  Boom!  Much better than our last nail fail and very cute.

You can pull this off really easily and quickly.  Get sparkly and enjoy bringing in the New Year!  See you all in 2013 🙂

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all our Ho Ho Ho’s!

Well 2012 is coming to an end and we wanted to make a short “thank you, we love you, please don’t ever leave us” video for the holidays.  We will be taking a break next week as we hope you do as well 😀

Anyway, we really do appreciate you guys so enjoy some time with your family and friends over the holidays.  See you all soon!

Capital CitiesOh yeah, we also convinced the amazing band Capital Cities to be a part of a holiday photo with us after they did a performance yesterday!  They are really amazing and you should check them out when they come to a city near you 🙂

Fan Favorite Post: Blideo #2

IFL Headquarters

Thank you again for reading and liking us when you do! 2012 has been a fun year for us and let’s hope that it gets even better in 2013!

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Fairmont HotelChristmas in San Francisco is definitely a beautiful sight! The city is lit up even more than usual and the trees are decorated perfectly. This year a group of us decided to check out the 2 story tall Gingerbread House located in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel in Nob Hill. It was truly something to be seen and smelled!

Gingerbread House(7,500 pieces of gingerbread brick lined the walls, it smelled delicious!)

Gingerbread Wall(Layers of icing, marshmallows, and sprinkles held the house together)

Gingerbread Wall(A nutcracker chilled behind the glass and gummy stars lined the walls)

Eating a House(While I would like to live in this house, I think I would have  a permanent stomach ache if I did)

Candy Village(A tiny mock village was made ENTIRELY of icing and candy! The little penguins were too cute!)

Ornament(A huge Christmas tree sat next to the house. The ornaments were so beautiful, we couldn’t resist taking a photo!)

Presents(A little side area was reserved for children to watch movies and write letters to Santa so of course we decided to play)

Letters to Santa(Everyone was peeking at Connie’s wish list. “I would like a boat please. More specifically, I would like a yacht!” A girl can dream, can’t she?)

Visiting the Fairmont lobby was a really fun way to spend a crisp Winter night with friends. We walked across the street afterwards to have a Christmas cocktail at the Top of the Mark and spent the evening watching the twinkling city from 13 stories up.

What it Feels Like to Lose a Follower…

IFL Headquarters

I guess (s)he wasn’t that into us. You know this blogging thing is a real wave of emotion.  One day someone new clicks that magical “+follow” symbol on your page (hint hint) and cha-ching we’ve got a true friend for life!  A golden email brightens up our mailbox and we instantly giggle with delight for it is a glorious moment. But guess what? It isn’t all cupcakes and rainbows because apparently they can un-follow us just as easily! What gives, WordPress? What gives?! Seriously, if we try to unsubscribe to a local grocery store mailing list we have to call an 800 number, wait on hold for 15 minutes, give them our mothers’ maiden name and then agree to full body cavity search we must plan for later that week- and it must be that week; we have to take a day off of work. The “unfollow” button is a little too easy of an out but we still love you WordPress!

We wanted you to know what we go through each time we lose a follower.

Stuff Those Stockings!

cute xmas stockings

Alright, Christmas is next week and if you are busy working then you know what it’s like to have time fly by.  Our favorite gift part of Christmas is the stockings because they are usually filled with awesome trinkets and random sugary treats that you wouldn’t normally splurge on.  Check out some of our favorite stocking stuffer ideas for women (and maybe some men) and become easily prepared for the big day!

lottery tickets(Lottery scratcher tickets!  They are cheap and you could make someone else a winner, even if not it’s still fun to scratch away.  Someone always at least wins a new ticket.)

ryan gosling calendar(Ummm hello!  A mini Ryan Gosling calendar!  Who wouldn’t want to wake up to this on the daily…)

cute-happy-pink-post-it-smile(Cute stationary!  It makes work much more fun to (non)secretively pass notes like you are in middle school again)

Beautiful Headband(Sparkly headband for a lucky girl to wear for New Years!  Maybe even in Paris… =D)

blue-bottle-coffee(A gift card even if just for one coffee to a more expensive coffee shop that’s close to their office – it’s a real treat!)

We love giving to our friends and family at Christmas.  The most important thing during the holidays is getting to spend time with your closest friends and family but since giving gifts happens along the way, we thought we’d share some of our gift ideas.

Lend me your eyes, I can change what you see

My entire life, I’ve had this thing for horses.  I’ve ridden and taken care of them since I could walk and talk.  I was beyond thrilled when Chelsea and our friend Henry wanted to get out to the barn and work with the horses to try and get some artsy blog worthy photos.  Chelsea’s photos came out UNREAL and she was a champ with the horses.  These are a few of mine.

The barn is the place I go to decompress and enjoy being outdoors.  What do you do in your spare time?  How much do you think it would take to get Chelsea on a horse?  Maybe another Blideo idea is on the rise… Happy Friday everyone.  As we like to say, IFF (It’s F#$&ing Friday)!

Beanie Couture.

One thing you can always count on about San Francisco is the chilly Winters. Sometimes the weather is in between freezing and on-the-verge-of-being-nice which is why we always have a beanie on hand! We snapped some shots on our lunch break displaying all the different kinds of beanies we love to wear.

1(the slouchy beanie is one of our favorites, it is pretty trendy in this city)

2(I love this beanie on Brittany! She always reminds me of Waldo in it, a prettier Waldo of course.  Beanie: Sessions brand)

3(I picked up this slouchy one in Chinatown for $5- they have some sweet deals)

4(I am borrowing this beanie for my trip to Paris since it covers your ears!)

5(This one resembles a beret, I grabbed it at Anthropologie a few years ago)

6(the slouchy black beanie is a definite classic.  Beanie: Free People)

7(This is one of Britt’s floral beanies, she has a bunch. They are really cute and cozy!  Beanie: Target)

It would be hard for us to get through this crisp Winter without our favorite accessory. It not only keeps you warm, it adds a little color and flare to any outfit. We personally think that you can never have enough!

I’m a photo heavy post-er.  We absolutely love photos, creativity and colors which is why we love instagram so much!  We both love to post photos but you can keep up with the dailies of us crazy girls on Instagram (@Cregnani and @Justalittlebrit).  We are often on the go and every now and then stop to capture something out of the norm.  Below is a collection of our recent favorites we’ve snapped along the way.

We love looking at photos and taking them.  San Francisco provides endless inspiration for that.  We have a few things coming up that I think will entertain, including BLIDEO #2…  Stay tuned.

My Personal Icons.

I am a firm believer that our personalities are made up of different parts and that is what makes us all unique, and in my case, adorable.

ICON

I often get asked, “Danger, how are you so amazing and at the same time well balanced and down to Earth?” The answer is never simple but it is always the same, “just am”. But that isn’t the truth. I have always had some spectacular role models and while they are still evolving, I think the diagram above shows you a bit more about me and where I get my influences and how I strive to be.

STYLE– Gwen Stefani: We gotta start at the top, Gwen has been my favorite Orange County Girl since I was 12. That is 17 years of looking up to someone I truly want to be like. She is married to a hot guy (I am currently dating one, check). She has 2 adorable kids (well, I have the potential for that, half check). And she always looks polished (double check!) I often ask myself WWGD? before I walk out the door.

CLASS– Rachel McAdams: I am not going to lie, she is just really pretty and I have a girl-crush on her. I love the way she always looks classic, I am constantly working on that.

SASS- Shirley Manson: Her stage presence is larger than life and I always get the vibe that she doesn’t take sh*t from anyone and I love her for it. “Do you have an opinion, a mind of your own? I’ve run out of patience, I couldn’t care less.” She’s amazing.

WIT- Mindy Kaling: She is hilarious, smart, and isn’t afraid to look silly on TV. I really like her sense of humor and her book was a great read. She’s just simply likeable.

DOPPLE-NESSAlexis Bledel: I don’t know, I’ve been told countless times that I resemble this girl so I might as well embrace it. Afterall, she is 31 and looks about 17 and I am 29 and look about 16. I think we might be kindred spirits here.

LIFE- Amy Poehler: She just rocks at life. I love her show, she makes me laugh every week. She is so smart, so so smart and I love that way she isn’t afraid to make a fool of herself for a good joke. She had this great quote “No one looks stupid if they are having fun.” It’s kinda true, right?
