Graced With Light.

Grace CathedralI was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and this was the very first time I have visited Grace Cathedral. Right now is the most perfect time to visit because through the end of February, 20 miles of ribbon will hang from the Cathedral ceiling in celebration of 100 Years of Music at Grace Cathedral.

Grace Cathedral

Grace Cathedral(My camera phone shots do not do this justice, it’s such a beautiful sight!)

Grace Cathedral(A triptych entitled “Life of Christ” was completed by the amazing Keith Haring just weeks before he lost his battle with AIDS. Something special about Grace Cathedral is the Interfaith AIDS Memorial Chapel where pieces are dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives to AIDS. The triptych glows the moment you walk into the chapel, I love how Haring’s always popped. He was something special.)

Grace Cathedral(The rain couldn’t keep this guy away from Grace Cathedral’s famous labyrinths.)

I had such a great time exploring the church and getting a chance to experience with Graced With Light piece. If you have a chance, don’t miss it!
