Kimono Summer.

IMG_8999

It’s safe to say that I LOVE Kimonos.  My obsession started with floral kimonos but when I found this simple black lace kimono from Nasty Gal, I just knew it was the one for me.  I love to stay covered in the sun as much as possible and with the sheer layer of this kimono I feel like I can enjoy the sun and the breeze.

I love all the detailing on it.  However, beware it randomly catches on door knobs and random things every now and then.  I have to be careful because I don’t want it to tear!

If you are looking for a kimono, check out THIS page at Nasty Gal, they are really bringing the good stuff!

I’m a simple girl so I wear it over tanks and also as a swimsuit cover up.  It’s the perfect addition to simplicity because it’s details carry the rest.

What’s your summer kimono look like?!

Botanical Gardens.

Spring is in the air and as the weather turns, it’s nice to check out all of the beautiful outdoor spots San Francisco has to offer.  On Sunday, my boyfriend and I went for a park stroll through the gardens and snapped some photos.  It was so nice out and it’s a good walk to loop through the park.

There are so many great places to see in San Francisco and I would recommend the botanical gardens to anyone on a nice day!

Peter Pilotto for Target, enough said. I love when Target introduces their designer lines and this has been my absolute favorite! It’s SO loud and very chic. This is actually a long sleeved top tucked into a skirt. At first I wasn’t sure how this would look but I have gotten nothing but compliments, it is just so fun.

Day and Night.

IMG_8740

I got this Nasty Gal romper a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it.  There’s something so effortless about throwing on one piece and having your outfit pretty much complete.  No thinking needed 🙂  I especially love this romper because you can wear it during the day or style it a bit differently and wear it at night.

For day time I chose to pair the romper with these tribal sandals.

IMG_8742
The waist band bunches in a flattering place and I love the floral print.

For night time, I throw some strappy sandals and pull my hair back while adding earrings.

On Me, On You.

IMG_8762

I bought this headband while at Coachella from a woman who makes these awesome reversible headbands by hand.  I love to support people who create their own jewelry, clothes, paintings, etc.  I think it’s so awesome to see people working hard at something they love.  Nonetheless, I bought this headband on the spot and I couldn’t be more happy with it.  In our newest series “On Me, On You”, we show how the same piece of jewelry or clothing can look great in different ways on different people.

IMG_8752
I like to rock the jeweled side because it can make a t-shirt just that much more fancy.

The feather side is just as pretty!  We both chose the side that one might think would blend in with our hair tones a bit more but the more subtle the better (at least we prefer!).

These earthy tones really look beautiful with Chelsea’s brunette locks.

The feather tails at the end are the perfect dangles.

This headband is also great because you can tie it to the size you’d like for wherever you’d like to place the headband.  Making this easy to share 🙂  DIY coming soon!

Spring Vest.

Spring Vest

One of my favorite purchases from Spring comes from the Nordstrom line “Touve“. It looks like a basic navy blue vest but has a sheer panel on each side, I love how unique it is and the fact that I can wear it to work too!

Spring Vest.Another vest I really want is here!

I haven’t seen anything like this before and am so impressed with everything Touve has to offer!

Morro Rock.

Morro Rock

This Easter weekend, I went for a walk on the beach along Morro Rock in Morro Bay. It was an ideal day, the weather was beautiful and we collected sand dollars and oyster shells. The one thing I love about living in California is being able to visit the water anytime I want!

Morro Rock(This bit of seaweed washed ashore and left this pretty marking in the sand)

Morro Rock(I’m sure you’ve heard of seahorses, but have you heard of the Morro Bay Sea Papillons?)

Morro RockI loved seeing the mist coming off of the water, it was great day to be out on the sand!

The Clash.

The ClashNow that it’s Spring, I have been dabbling with bolder colors and mixing prints as most of Spring is inspired by the blooming flowers.

A simple DIY- pluck some of your favorite sturdy blossoms and put them in a decorative dish filled with water. Happy Spring!

Happy Wednesday

Have Fun

We’ve been on the go a lot but promise to come back with some great content soon! In the meantime, enjoy your Wednesday and remember to kick your feet up after work, grab a glass of wine, and perhaps scoot the couch your roommate is occupying out of your way for an impromptu photo shoot!
