Nick and I recently made the big move out of the city and into Marin County. We now have an extra room to turn into an office/recreational room. Here are the steps we took to make the transformation.
(The room was originally this honey color that I wasn’t a fan of)
(So we changed the wall color to a light blue-gray)
(We purchased this multi-color rug from Overstock and love how vibrant it is)
(I had an old shelf and wasn’t sure what to do with it. I filled it with succulents, candles, and books. It still doesn’t feel done so this is a work in progress)
(Basic guitar stands to display an acoustic and electric guitar)
(A small indoor plant, amethyst crystal, and candle sit on our desk)
We still need to add pictures to the wall but haven’t settled on images yet. Any suggestions?
Beautiful! I love that color blue, it’s such a lovely pop in the room.
Thank you! We weren’t 100% sold on it but we really love it now that everything is in the room!
This room has a great atmosphere, ideal for a recrenational room. i like it!
Thank you! We really want to make it as warm as possible!
Hang up your own art work and that of local artists. 🙂
Wendy, you are a genius! 😉
I notice the keyboard is not included!
Didn’t we let you borrow that?? 😉
I love the wall color and the handles on the desk—well done!
Thank you!
In love with the draw knobs on that dresser/table!
I got the knobs from Anthropologie! But I think I have seen them at World Market for a little cheaper in price!
Looks like such a modern improvement and that colour of blue works so well! I think the bookshelf is such a nice addition, the different sized shelves add an interesting touch! You have a great eye for interior design xo
PS. I love your blog, always so fun to scroll through!
