Nick and I had a few friends over to hand out candy to trick or treaters and play board games this Halloween. Nick makes an amazing guacamole, he has a secret ingredient and everything. Since it was Halloween and we had an extra pumpkin, we decided to present the chips and dip in a fun/gross way (see above).
(The dip went quick!)
(We made a spiced apple cider cocktail and had cold beers on hand too)
(I cooked up the pumpkins seeds and put pomegranate seeds and rosemary sprigs aside for garnish- both from our backyard!)
All in all, the gathering was a success. Fall is my favorite time of year so it’s a real treat to get to eat some of my favorite flavors (pumpkins included).

ABC Family’s 13 Nights of Halloween
I know this sounds silly but ABC Family has been bringing the hits with the classic Halloween movies! You still have two more nights of the goodness so if you want to watch, you can check out the schedule here! My favorites include Casper, Hocus Pocus, and Adam’s Family.
Interesting Halloween Cocktails
I love seeing fun costumes but even more I love seeing the interesting parties people are hosting with fun drinks/food. So many creative makers out there, tag us on your Instagram photos so we can see and share our favorite recipes! Found the above drinks here on Pinterest.
Amazing Pet Costumes
Keep ’em coming. I’m cracking up at all of the amazing animal costume pics I’ve been seeing. Oh the things our pets do for us, they are the best! Found this pic here with a handful of other hilarious pet costumes.
Happy Halloween weekend everyone!
I’m not one to spend hours on Pinterest but I think it’s incredibly clever and I get a ton of inspiration and ideas from the site. I have a hard time committing to laborious crafts but when I see a simple but awesome craft, I love to make them and share them. Here are a few that are on my list for Halloween.
1. THIS awesome DIY wreath.
2. These beautiful lace candles.
3. I love making pumpkin seeds, they are such a great snack!
These are three manageable crafts to conquer over the next month. Happy October!
If you are anything like me, you groan a little when Halloween comes around because you’ve waited until the last minute to throw together a costume! I was scrambling to get something together and did the very best I could with items in my closet! Take a look at what me and my friend Lindsay put together with pieces in the house already!
(Lindsay is Regine Chassagne from Arcade Fair and I am a Parisian)
(Luckily for Lindsay she has a bunch of pieces in her closet that are full of sparkle and shine. She put basic black pieces together and topped it with a sequined cropped jacket. She also put on purple sparkle eye shadow and teased and curled her hair to give it that rock star volume. You could easily do this at home!)
(With my obsession with all things French, it is no wonder I chose this costume. Simple- a striped turtle neck, black pants and booties, and topped off with a beret. These are pieces I had in my wardrobe and the makeup is just a little louder than I usually wear)
If you have some Household Halloween ideas or costumes, share them with us, we would love to see!
