Biking in Belize.

Biking was my favorite mode of transportation on Caye Caulker in Belize.  It’s flat everywhere and the breeze feels so good on the sun soaked skin.  The views aren’t bad either.  Riding along the ocean and through the quaint streets, it’s a lifestyle one could get used to quick.

There are piers everywhere to enjoy.

Our bikes came with baskets so I could load up my awesome new beach bag my step mom gave me for the trip ❤

Summer is Coming.

DSC_0766In San Francisco summer doesn’t mean beach bodies, pina coladas, and sun kissed skin. It’s the time of year that you need to gather your coats because Karl the Fog is coming! If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you know the saying “winter is coming” can instill immediate fear for any of the characters. That’s how we San Franciscans feel about summer.

Here’s a guide to making through these next few months.

DSC_0767(Be sure to exercise during these months because September is when we visit the beach)

DSC_0770(Wear a bright jacket so that drivers can see you through the fog)

DSC_0771(Embrace your wind blown hair, it’s just not worth trying to fight it)

We love San Francisco and know it is the most amazing city in the states so we aren’t complaining. But come on, Karl! Can you give us a little break?

Sailor Stripes.

Sailing Stripes

This past weekend has been HOT, so hot in fact we are experiencing a local fire on Mt. Diablo! The only thing that would make this outfit a bit cooler would be a pair of white sailor shorts.

Sailing Stripes(Tortoise shell glasses are a great compliment to navy blue)

Sailing Stripes(A small bow bracelet detail)

Sailing StripesEnjoy the warm weather and make sure to cool off as much as possible!

Blue Jean Baby.

Blue Jean BabyI am loving my new chambray dress from Francesca’s collection. It’s the easiest thing to slip into on a hot day and run out the door!

Blue Jean Baby(I synch the waist with a skinny brown belt to match my booties)

Blue Jean Baby(Living in these Sam Edelman booties that I picked up in LA)

Blue Jean Baby(California cut-out ring, how cute is this? Also from Francesca’s)

Blue Jean BabyI love this metal high collar necklace. It’s not easy to wear with most things but it looks good with this shade of blue!

Coffee Break.

Coffee OutfitThe best part about Summer is being able to sip your iced coffee outside on the patio and not freeze your butt off! The simple weekend outfit made it easy to lounge around the house comfortably.

Coffee Outfit(The best part of this shirt is the lacey detail in the back)

Sit back and have a relaxing weekend! See you on Monday!

Leather Leggings.

Leather LeggingsBlack leggings are the quickest fix for any outfit emergency, throw them under a tunic or a short dress and you are ready to rock! But we upped it a notch with these leather and stud detailed leggings.

Leather Leggings(The simple details add depth to the outfit and elongate your leg, which is never a bad thing)

Leather Leggings(Earrings from Charlotte Russe)

Leather Leggings(This midi ring adds a pop of color this all black outfit needs)

We really love the way these leggings really pull this outfit together. We think it’s more of a nighttime look but if you are feeling sassy, you could get away with it during the daytime too!

Beaded Beauty.

Liv Style

Our friend Liv kept it classic with a gorgeous beaded skirt from Anthropologie during our LA trip! She kept it soft on the top and colorful on the bottom, let’s take a look at how she wore this amazing piece!

Liv Style(The neutral sweater allows the bright skirt to pop)

Liv Style(Each section of the skirt has a different beaded pattern)

Liv Style(Aviators and flip flops complete the California look)

Liv’s style is always a mix of funky and classic, it’s hard for most people to pull off but she makes it look easy! The trick is when you have a bold piece, wear something neutral to let it shine!

Wedding Wear Part One.

It’s Summer and that always means one thing, weddings. Brittany recently got some great dresses from Charlotte Russe and thought they would be great to wear at some upcoming weddings. I couldn’t agree more!

Wedding2

(Blue and tan are great wedding colors, pretty much color but white and black)

Wedding3(The zipper details is one of my favorite parts of the dress)

Wedding4

Wedding5(A bold nail color adds to the Summer feel)

Wedding6(Open toed shoes are a must at warm weddings)

Wedding7(We opted for no necklace, instead a geometric earring)

We love dressing up for any occasion but weddings are the most fun, just make sure you put something on that you can dance in!

Neon Indian Summer.

There’s something about the warmer weather that makes us want to dress in brighter colors.  We have a fun time mixing neons in order to make a bright outfit come together. Here is a little color blocking to inspire you today!

Pecan Brittle with Apricots

Apricots are one of my favorite foods and the only time we can eat them is during the Summer! This recipe for pecan brittle with apricots takes only 15 minutes and is so easy to make, it’s the perfect Summer treat! Just follow these simple instructions.
