This weekend we spent a day enjoying the beautiful Tomales Bay. Luckily, the weather was perfect as we kayaked and took in the marvelous views. If you’re a fan of oysters you should take a visit to this tiny town and enjoy nature, wines, and famous Cowgirl Creamery.
(The fog can roll in without any notice but I do love the way that looks too)
(We took to the ocean to see what we could make of the sunset)
(Elephant Seals joined us on the sand)
(Pieces of birchwood that Nick wouldn’t let me take home)
(Yup, it was cold but those are my favorite kinds of beaches. The most beautiful ones I have seen are in the Pacific Northwest)
(From Elephant Seals on the beach to cows in the valley)
A beautiful end to a great day!

If you frequent our site, you know how much we love the ocean and beautiful colors. While on the island of Oahu over Thanksgiving, my friend Amanda took my parents and I on one of the most scenic and beautiful hikes I’ve ever been on. It overlooked the most perfect beach, Lanikai.
We sat on top of these old military “pill boxes” and just soaked it all in.
When in Hawaii…

This weekend I was lucky enough to go to Malibu for a beautiful wedding. There was a group of us who rented a beach house and got the privilege of being able to sleep to the sound of crashing waves.
(Meris womanned the grill and cooked up some dinner on the deck)
(Our neighbors are lucky enough to live here full time)
(Our beautiful view)
We know how lucky we were to have rented the house for just the weekend, could you imagine living there? Oh, beautiful Malibu, I miss you already!
