Cable Knit Spring.

The sun is starting to come out but there is still a chill in the air.  Since I am always cold, I like to be bundled up while embracing the Spring days to come.  The is my go to outfit at the moment.  What’s yours?

You never know what you are going to find at the Nordstrom Rack, like this purse!  I also got these flats on super clearance at Banana Republic for under $10.  What a steal!

IMG_5437I’m pretty simple when it comes to dress so this is the perfect outfit for me when the days are chilly but the sun is shining.

 

When Life Gives You Lemons.

DSC_0175I went back and forth on this purse for about a month. The last thing that I need is another purse but I always put them to good use so I can generally find an excuse to buy another. Ultimately, I found this print much too cute to pass up and I caved! It’s perfect for pretty much any occasion as long as it is paired with something fairly basic.

I’ve grown quite fond of the 50’s mixed with new age style skirts that have started to make an appearance in the fashion world.  They are classic, stylish, and a nice way to change up your wardrobe.  I recently spent some time at Banana Republic trying to update my work wear and this was one of my new finds.  Of course I ended up with slacks and blouses as well but this skirt was an additional great find.  They are having a huge sale right now so if you are looking for some new work wear, I’d suggest hitting up Banana.

I paired the skirt with a low backed, short sleeved body suit.  For colder weather, I will add a cardigan to complete the 50’s spin.

Throw on some simple black sandals/heels and call it a day!

I go through moods where I want to wear nothing but color and this dress is perfect when I am feeling that way. I love when a piece of clothing can have lots of color and be extremely loud but still  fun and tasteful. Here’s one of my new favorite dresses and a fun pair of flats to top it all off.

Back To The Grind.
