Sometimes, it’s nice to jump on with no saddle and no worries.  It’s not very practical to train bareback but I do love a ride every now and then sans saddle.  My friends recently got me this awesome duster sweater that I just love.  It’s a great sweater I can wear casually, riding, or even dress it up.

Taking an evening ride.

Galloping bareback up the hill.

A winter storm is coming in but very much welcome with the drought we are in.

In a week full of thanks, I’m thankful for horses among many other things.

Happy Thanksgiving week!

Boot Crop.

I’m a big fan of comfort and while I was in Copenhagen last month, I picked up some awesome short boots from H&M.  I’ve worn them a ton and they are so easy to slip on with some boot cut pants or even over some skinny jeans (like shown here).   Naturally, I love that the “riding” look has come to be a part of fashion and it’s very easy for me to bring into my daily wear.

These Boots Were Made for Puddles

IMG_6515This holiday season in San Francisco has been a bit more rainy than usual.  We got really bummed out about it for a minute and then realized, wait!  This is actually awesome.  Time to bust out our rain boots that you only really get to wear when it’s raining.  We both are commuters and have a pretty decent walk from public transportation to the office.  When it’s raining, if you don’t wear rain boots you get soaked.  Here are our picks for great rain boots!

IMG_6505(These are Jeffrey Campbell rain boots from Nordstrom)

IMG_6502(These awesome stompers are Sorel boots from which is an AWESOME site for discounts on great outer-wear of all kinds)

IMG_6513(These are a Target find!  They have some great options and last quite a while)

Get out there and start puddle stompin’!  There’s nothing more fun than facing a puddle head on and just plowing through.  Especially when you see other people frantically running or carefully scaling large puddles to avoid the water.  We have complete faith in you, you’ve got this!

I’ll Be Your Man.

I know we have covered this before but androgyny is really in right now. Asking the question, “is that a dude or a chick?” means the person in question is quite fashionable! You probably already have all of the tools to pull off a great menswear look…especially if you are a man. Let’s take a closer look.

(Aviators are a must, they are masculine and make you look really badass)

(A rose metal watch is the ultimate menswear accessory. Boyfriend jeans are cute, the rolled up bottoms give the illusion of length on pretty much everyone. I got these pants by Insight at an SF store called Cary Lane. They sell sample sale products and are making great button up shirts (seen above) for men in slim fit which look great on girls too!)

(Roll your jeans up at the bottom, this is a must to pull of the look)

(The look is easy and carefree, much like a good man)

We’re Over It.

We have been under a lot of stuff lately. Things like pita salad sandwiches, matte finish lipgloss, and ginger chocolates (yeah, we know!) are flawless items that make us so happy. But lately we have been feeling a little disgruntled when thinking about certain styles and foods that we used to love. Maybe you are just as pissed off as we are, are you over it too?

Boots-VS-Booties(This seems silly but if we see another girl with high boots and skinny jeans, we are going to PASS OUT from boredom. This style is exhausted and that’s why we love booties! They have the same curb appeal as boots but can be dressed up and down in a simpler way. Studded, suede, or shiny, we LOVE them!)

Bangles-vs-Bracelets(Bangles are cute but they are clunky, loud, and so big that they fly off your wrist and smack your co-worker straight in the face. That’s why we are crazy about homemade friendship bracelets. We recently bought a ton of supplies and have been making them for each other on our commute to work! You can wear as many as your arm can hold, and still look classier than an arm full of bangles. Check out an amazing DIY here!)

(In an office environment it is hard to stay healthy, that’s why we eat oatmeal in the morning. Yeah, we’re over it. Hand us another slice of that week old pizza please, we’ll eat a salad at lunch.)

Ice-Cream-FroYo(I know you may have been expecting us to pick the ice cream after the cold pizza comment but come on, we’re not monsters. FroYo is a healthy and delicious alternative to ice cream. I read somewhere that you can eat like 40 bowls of FroYo and still not equal one bowl of ice cream, or something like that. I don’t know, this stuff is delicious, especially if you add gummi bears, you gotta add gummi bears otherwise I just don’t see the point.)
