Winter Wear.

 I’d been hearing so many great things about Helly Hansen’s outerwear that I knew my next outerwear jacket was going to be one of theirs.  Since I love to go to Tahoe regularly and genuinely love winter weather, I’ve fallen in love with this jacket!  It’s cozy, warm, and my go to when the temps start to drop.

I added these over the knee boots and leggings to stay warm.  I also love the button detailing on these boots.

Just add a beanie and I’m happy.  I love to be bundled when the weather starts to cool down so I love having the right clothes to be prepared to play outside even in the winter!

Neon Nuance.

IMG_8363I don’t switch it up too much but I do love bright colors and a blazer is the perfect piece to shake up an outfit with.  It’s a fun cut and an awesome bright neon orange.  I also love mixing casual with fancy, there’s something to be said about being comfortable enough to make it through the business day but chic enough to know you didn’t just throw something on.

Cute Co-Worker Feature: Amy!

At my job, I’m surrounded by style.  I am always inspired by the women around me because my natural go-to outfit is far from stylish.  Amy is our amazing merchandising intern who is off to the big apple to persue her fashion dreams.  Every day that she was in the office, pushing rolling rack after rolling rack of clothing by, I never noticed the clothes on the rolling racks but always noticed her attention to her outfits.  She looked fabulous every single day so I wanted to feature her as she is about to embark on the next wonderful phase of her life!

On Me, On You.

Floral jacket
I recently went to Target for toothpaste and oops, I did it again.  I may have ended up with a little bit more than toothpaste.  Like this floral jacket shown above.  I love the pattern (I’ve really been digging any floral prints lately) and cut of it so I swooped it up.  Chelsea and I love sharing clothes but have two different body types.  With an awesome staple piece like this, we can easily share because it compliments both of our bodies in different ways!

Both ways the jacket looks cute and allows for any body type to rock.  Next time you head to target to pick up the mundane daily things, don’t forget to wander off path 🙂

imageMy boyfriend and I ventured to the zoo recently and my oh my did the animals have some attitude to show.  I absolutely love animals so I enjoyed getting to see the tenants at the SF zoo.  If I could award the animals awards for their sass, this is how they’d go…

Fluffy Fridays!

imageWe decided we wanted to add some cuteness to your Fridays.  We decided to start Fluffy Fridays to give you that sweet little make you smile to end your week.  Check out our first edition with Genny!  Geneveive is my parents adorable Bernese Mountain Dog puppy.  I just adore her!  She’s only a little over 3 months old and over 30 lbs!  I’m sure she will make a few appearances here 🙂

Berry Full.

IMG_8812While shooting for the blog a few weekends ago, Chels and I knew we needed to grab some snacks to take with us outdoors because we get real cranky without anything to eat for too long.  Chelsea had this great idea to throw some berries in a few glasses to bring with us so we could put them on the ground and know bugs weren’t going to get to them.  Then we realized these would be great party favors, table decorators, or even just a good way to display some healthy snacks.  Since it’s the season of ripe fruit, why not put some out for your friends/guests to enjoy!?

This was an easy, accidental find but a great one at that!  Surprise yourself or a friend with a healthy snack and fun wine glass to take home 😀

Braided Top Knot

It’s hard to have a cute up-do that’s fun and sophisticated.  One day I had my hair in a pony tail and wanted to add something to it.  Not have just a typical bun or pony tail.  So I braided and twirled and ended up with this easy to do bun!

IMG_70833. Braid hair until 1 or 2 inches from the ends of your hair

IMG_70824. Twirl braid around the base of your pony tail

IMG_70815. Tuck the ends of the braid under one of the elastic loops holding your pony tail

IMG_70796. Pin any crazy, out of control pieces down unless you like how they look

Stuff Those Stockings!

Alright, Christmas is next week and if you are busy working then you know what it’s like to have time fly by.  Our favorite gift part of Christmas is the stockings because they are usually filled with awesome trinkets and random sugary treats that you wouldn’t normally splurge on.  Check out some of our favorite stocking stuffer ideas for women (and maybe some men) and become easily prepared for the big day!

lottery tickets(Lottery scratcher tickets!  They are cheap and you could make someone else a winner, even if not it’s still fun to scratch away.  Someone always at least wins a new ticket.)
