Rob and I spent last weekend at a beautiful wedding in Paso Robles, CA in which we drove to from San Francisco.  We took the standard route down south but then drove the coast, along Hwy 1, the whole way back.  I’ve always wanted to do it and now I know why people do it.  It was beyond stunning around every corner, I can’t wait to share with you!

I love the lace detail on the bottom of this top.

We stopped tons to take in the beautiful views along the coast.

Love all the fun necklace layering Urban Outfitters has right now.

Coast lines for miles 🙂

The route we took must be world famous, the turquoise waters and wind roads were endless.  More to come soon!

I love colors so it’s no surprise I gravitate towards floral patterns.  I’d been looking for some fun shorts that I could wear for all different occasions and luckily for me, pretty much every store has some variety of them it’s just more about finding the style that fits you best.

I love adding the sparkle to the floral print.

I love these mirrored glasses.

A good friend of mine recently handed me down a huge amount of clothing that she hadn’t needed nor wanted anymore.  It was so much fun to go through and pick things from her past that would fit perfectly into my present.  It’s one of the best ways to update your wardrobe without shelling out tons of cash.

The floral top here is a Vera Wang hand me down and the boots are hand me downs from Urban Outfitters.  Both of which I love!

I love love love the water color texture to this floral pattern.

I always try to mix in something feminine when I’m going to be dressing a bit more edgy with a beanie and leather jacket.

Love that these are rounded toe.  I always gravitate towards pointy toe pumps so this was a perfect addition to switch up my shoes.

I am all about re-using great things and handing over pieces to other people when you know you won’t wear them anymore.  I’m grateful to my friend, Jana, for letting me have a field day in her closet :).

Floral Lulu.

IMG_1930
I had a friend tell me for a long time how much she loved the brand LuLu Lemon and I have to admit, I always thought it was an overpriced and over talked about brand.  However, this was because I had never even tried a pair on my own.  I finally realized that the regular wonder under pant in black was a practical purchase because not only could I work out in them but I could also wear them as warm leggings.  This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.  Since the first pair, I’ve only added one pair of shorts, two sports bras, and now these awesome blue floral running pants that I got on clearance.

IMG_1938
I guess you can say I’m drawn to bright colors : ).

I like that the pattern is feminine without being too bold.

I love yoga, climbing, and recently got into cycling so it’s nice to add a good pair of workout pants that were made for a higher intensity.

Day and Night.

I got this Nasty Gal romper a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it.  There’s something so effortless about throwing on one piece and having your outfit pretty much complete.  No thinking needed 🙂  I especially love this romper because you can wear it during the day or style it a bit differently and wear it at night.

IMG_8741
For day time I chose to pair the romper with these tribal sandals.

IMG_8742
The waist band bunches in a flattering place and I love the floral print.

IMG_8748
For night time, I throw some strappy sandals and pull my hair back while adding earrings.

Friday Florals.

img_9389
Last year I was all about this fun floral romper and this year I’m all about floral anything!  I absolutely love the bright, happy feeling a good floral print can bring.  Spring has sprung and there’s no problem with hiding it.  Check out some of our favorite florals below.

LuLu’s is really killing it in the floral dress department.  I’d love to rock any of the above from their site.

Floral bottoms
What’s not to love about these designs?!

Floral mens
Men look awesome in floral, too!

Have some fun with floral Friday.  Hope you enjoyed our picks and have a wonderful weekend!

Spring Fling.

Spring FlingOne print we can never get enough of is floral (stay tuned for tomorrow’s post). There is nothing more feminine than flowers, whether it be the print of a dress or even a freshly plucked sprig of Jasmine, there is something so fresh about colorful blossoms. This dress is probably one of the most girly and whimsical pieces that I own. I rarely wear it in the city but it’s one I know I will never get rid of.

Spring Fling(I love the uneven cut of ends of this dress)

Spring FlingSomething I want to try is mixing floral prints, I just need to add more pieces to my wardrobe, I think that can be done!

On Me, On You.

Floral jacket
I recently went to Target for toothpaste and oops, I did it again.  I may have ended up with a little bit more than toothpaste.  Like this floral jacket shown above.  I love the pattern (I’ve really been digging any floral prints lately) and cut of it so I swooped it up.  Chelsea and I love sharing clothes but have two different body types.  With an awesome staple piece like this, we can easily share because it compliments both of our bodies in different ways!

IMG_8248
(I wear the jacket open because I’m broader up top)

IMG_8253
(Chelsea can wrap the jacket because she is much thinner up top)

Both ways the jacket looks cute and allows for any body type to rock.  Next time you head to target to pick up the mundane daily things, don’t forget to wander off path 🙂

Madonna Inn.

Recently during my trip to San Luis Obispo I made a pit stop at the famous Madonna Inn. It’s tacky, lavish, pink, and AWESOME! It was like I stepped into Dolly Parton’s closet, I didn’t expect to see all of the glitz that I did!

(Pink, pink, pink! The bar has the cutest swirly chairs)

(A giant floral arrangement stood from the center of the restaurant, where all things pink of coursed lived)20130721-094954.jpg

(The staircase was covered in bright floral carpet. LOVE)

(And of course nothing but pink roses)

It’s like a little piece of Vegas in the middle of San Luis Obispo! I am starting to learn more about the place and why it is the way it is, but I think it’s pretty cool!

European Gardens.

IMG_1752Whenever I’m traveling, it seems I pay more attention to the small details that normally you may rush by in everyday life.  I love wandering interesting streets in new places and I found so many beautiful small gardens.  Wandering while snapping photos is something I will always enjoy so stopping to smell the roses on the way was just an added bonus 🙂
