European Chocolate.

IMG_2065
Who doesn’t love chocolate?!  While Shannon and I were in Holland for a music festival we found a place that met every chocolate need we could have.  We only needed one of these little squares to fill up since they were so rich.  Of course we got different kinds and shared so we could taste the flavors.  Nothing makes me happier than trying new things and that includes chocolate!

Each chocolate had a really intricate photo on it.

When in Holland, don’t forget to take a bite of their amazing chocolate!

Magical Holland.

IMG_2707Something I loved about Europe was how easily accessible public transit was.  I loved taking trains everywhere and just soaking in the views of lands I’d never seen before.  It’s funny because I take the BART train all the time in the bay area and somehow I can never appreciate it the way I do these magical European trains *sigh*.  Only time will tell when the next one we will be on will be.

IMG_2730OK, Holland you showed me what you were made of and now I want more.  Hopefully, we will meet again!

Funny thing about “Pompeii”

There’s in fact nothing funny about the real happenings at Pompeii but as Chelsea said in yesterday’s post, the tune was crushing the airwaves in Europe while we were there.  After Chelsea headed back to the state, I actually had the chance to see Bastille and photograph their live show in Holland!  I’d never seen them before and LOVED their live show.  So much energy and a tent full of pulsing Europeans.  It was a recipe for a good time and I enjoyed it immensely.  Check out this up and coming band that will be sure to blow your socks off if you catch them on tour this year.

I didn’t know many of their songs besides Pompeii before I saw Bastille live but now can say I’m a huge fan of their entire album, Bad Blood.  I’ve seen a lot of bands and Bastille brought non-stop energy and good tunes.  Check them out!

Colors of Europe – Holland, London and Denmark.

IMG_1825I love, love, love bright colors.  They scream happy and artistic to me which says a lot about the people in a certain area.  I saw so many interesting colors that I wanted to share because everyone could use a little extra happy on hump day.  I found most of these places while biking around.  I love beautiful street art whether it comes in painted or architecture form.  It’s all eye candy to me.  (The above was in Amsterdam)

I hope these colors added a little happy to your day!

Traveling Sunsets.

photo 3While traveling, I saw some of the most beautiful skies.  One common question I get asked about traveling is “don’t you get tired of being on a plane or on a train?!” and my answer to this is always no.  It may not be for everyone but I love sitting by a window and just watching the scenery pass me by.  I was very lucky with weather while traveling (for the most part) so I saw some pretty great sunsets from all over Europe.  Here are a few.

I love bright and colorful skies so I was quick to snap photos and then enjoy the rest of the rays as they slowly slid behind the horizon.  Somehow I always seemed to be in transit while the sun was going down but I can’t complain 🙂
