My friends in the retail fashion world sent me off in style before I left my last job. They sent me off with a bunch of nice cover ups to wear at my new job and this one I love especially. I’m a very simple person but do love to add color when I can. This little pop of neon is a nice way to add some variety to my everyday jeans and tank.
This is a perfect light jacket for warm work days.
I got these really fun, light pants so I could have a great pair of summer pants that were comfortable to travel around in. As we are now in Fall, I’m pleasantly surprised how easily I could transform them into a work or night outfit. They are thin and easy to match up with simple heels or sandals.
I also call them my MC Hammer pants because there is no denying the resemblance.
I also added my pop of neon to this low swoopy backed cotton tank.

I’m a big fan of simple and don’t like to wear anything too loud. However, I am a huge fan of colors so I’m always playing with ways to add a little bit of color. I love the lounge bras from Victoria Secret’s Pink! section for fun comfy pieces. At the end of each season, they usually clearance out everything from the season ending which is where I swoop up some good stuff.
Another way I like to add to a simple black, white, or grey outfit is to add a fun lipstick. I love love love this NARS lip color Angela that I’m wearing above. It’s a cooler hue and lasts for hours.
How do you add color to your basics?
I love the blocks of neon in this dress, I instantly was in love. It’s not every day that you can make pink and orange look cohesive together but I think that the simplicity of the dress makes it work.

I love wearing a lot of bright neon colors together, I really think they look good on all skin tones.
I don’t switch it up too much but I do love bright colors and a blazer is the perfect piece to shake up an outfit with. It’s a fun cut and an awesome bright neon orange. I also love mixing casual with fancy, there’s something to be said about being comfortable enough to make it through the business day but chic enough to know you didn’t just throw something on.
With this fun cut out in the back, it adds a funky side to it. This jacket hasn’t been released yet but will be in Charlotte Russe stores soon!
