Rocker Glam featuring Lindsay.

Let me tell you a thing about our gorgeous gal, Lindsay, here.  This girl has been our fashionista sista for many years and she continues to slay the fashion game.  We had a girls dinner a few weeks ago and Linds walked in stunning as ever.  She always has that classy but rocker look going on and we needed to post this outfit of hers on our blog!

Stars and Sparkles.

IMG_5520_2(Shoes – Sorel’s similar here, Skirt – Nordstrom similar here, Denim jacket – Madewell, Hat – locally made at the Otovalo Market in Ecuador)
When I saw this amazing skirt of Chelsea’s, I knew I had to try it on immediately.  I’ve always wanted to figure out how to wear an amazingly fun, Carrie Bradshaw type skirt and this was the perfect skirt.  I basically raided her closet because the Sorel platforms are also hers and probably the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.  Paired with a simple top, denim jacket, and my favorite hat, what more could you want in a fun outfit?

Tribal Threads.

IMG_7101I’ve been digging Top Shop’s trends lately and when I saw THIS thick threaded tribal skirt, I knew it was right up my alley.  It’s comfortable and fits like a glove.  Also, since it’s a thicker material I can wear it with a tank top in the summertime and a long sleeve in the winter.  A perfect addition to a capsule closet.

IMG_7106I add my fringe heels here and call it a day.  They are super comfortable as well and go with pretty much everything.

Oxblood.

DSC_1156One of my favorite colors to wear is Oxblood or Merlot. It’s such a rich color that can really add a pop to any look. I decided to try to push the limit on how much of the color I could realistically pull off in one go.

Top & Tights- Forever 21, Skirt- Nordstrom BP, Purse- Papaya.

Balancing Jacket.

image

My good friend, Harry, is always fun to talk fashion with as he usually keeps up with the latest trends.  He was telling me about the balancing jacket trend and I decided I love it.  Your jacket keeps you warm but if you are already in kind of warm weather, you may want to put it on and take it off intermittently.  Such is the case in San Francisco, it seems the weather can never make up it’s mind.

This is a trend I think I’ll keep around 🙂

Casual Cool.

image

Some days I just don’t have it in me to dress up so I have a few staple pieces that I can mix and match to be able to be comfy.  Black skinny jeans and a jean jacket are two pieces that I get a ton of wear out of.  Even if one of the two rips a hole or starts to wear, I will replace it because they are my go-to’s.

These slip on island kicks are an easy way to add some color.  Similar shoes found here.

Duster Dance.

DSC_0536A great duster can be the perfect way to add some flare to a basic outfit. They are comfortable, flowy, and very feminine which creates a unique look. We took to the top of San Francisco to catch some wind and watch this duster dance.

DSC_0559This is a great look for the weekend, when you want to dress up a simple long sleeved top on a chill winter day. Living in the city, we are always looking for great long sweaters and dusters!

Tribal Maxi.

IMG_9677

I got this maxi recently and it’s turned out to be my new favorite go to for week and weekend days.  It’s a lightweight material and the colors are so bright, it puts me in an instant good mood.  I paired it with a good wide brimmed hat from the Gap and some gladiator sandals.

An easy outfit for the upcoming warmer days!

Spring Vest.

Spring Vest

One of my favorite purchases from Spring comes from the Nordstrom line “Touve“. It looks like a basic navy blue vest but has a sheer panel on each side, I love how unique it is and the fact that I can wear it to work too!

Spring Vest.Another vest I really want is here!

I haven’t seen anything like this before and am so impressed with everything Touve has to offer!

Smells Like Teen Spirit.

903Back when Chelsea and I channeled some of our favorite icons (Gwen Stefani and Audrey Hepburn), we thought to ourselves that we should also do a post on different eras.  It just so turns out that we both really only experienced the 90’s when we weren’t infants, so obviously it’s our favorite.  It has become so funny now that after I picked out my wardrobe pieces for the shoot, they are the pieces I tend to wear ALL the time.  Maybe I’ll always be a 90’s queen and I’m OK with that.

905(Frayed denim shorts from BP)

902(Nordstrom BP round sunnies)

901(Denim/Cotton mixed jacket from Forever21, ring pop essential and side pony = priceless)

What’s your favorite era?!
