Wedding Wear It Again

IMG_7092When you are going to a wedding, it is important to look your best but also feel comfortable for a night of dancing and celebrating! I had been eyeing this dress for months and it finally went on sale at Anthropologie (unfortunately it is sold out now). I justified purchasing a dress I really didn’t need because I have so many weddings this year and it is just perfect to wear to a couple of them because it isn’t white! Surprisingly about 70% of my wedding appropriate dresses are white, so I really need to get my act together.

I feel like Steve Nicks in this dress and that is never a bad thing! Check your local Anthropolgie to see if they still have this dress in stock, it’s such a beautiful color!

 

Summer Casual.

IMG_7159You may have gathered that I am on a quest to invest in quality pieces that be paired in various ways to create new outfits. This shirt was one that I recently picked up and found versatile enough to wear with jeans and skirts in any season. The last few days have been fairly cool which is the perfect time to pull out a shirt like this and make the outfit pop with a burst of color from my purse! Have I told you how much I LOVE this purse? I hope so, because I love it.

Weekend wear should be easy so I almost always wear these Franco Sarto shoes. They are easy to slip on and go with most everything.

This outfit would be nothing without this purse, have I told you how much I love it yet? I do!

Summertime Linen.

IMG_7150While in London on our honeymoon, Nick and I tried to go into British stores to see how they differed. Well, I will tell you that Harrod’s was a true experience and I got turned around pretty easily in that place! While Harrod’s was a lot of fun, it was Hobb’s that I actually made my only purchase in London at. Nick picked out this dress and it is perfect for these sunny summer days that we have been having in the Bay Area.

Boho Tribal Summer.

In preparation for a warm weather vacation, I’ve been rounding up some cute warm weather outfits.  This is one of my favorite new layered looks and it’s going to be perfect in the hot Caribbean sun.  We leave Saturday and I couldn’t be more excited to go check out a new country and enjoy some good R & R.

I plan on having perma ocean hair or a big messy bun so this bandeau and dress will help jazz me up a little bit when needed.

Nautical Classics.

I love a good collar because I feel like they instantly dress up a more casual outfit.  I got this awesome boatneck collared top a few years ago from Forever 21 and it’s turned out to be a staple over time.  It’s fun but also can be worn over and over again for different occasions.

I usually love to wear a bold red lip collar with this top but in wearing it for work, I go with a softer pink.

You can also pull your hair up into a braided top knot to add some more attention to the collar.

Hawaiian Headband.

My two best co-workers turned friends from my previous job sent me off to Hawaii with some fun fashion finds including this headband (find a similar winter holiday headband HERE).  I love headbands like these and find that warm vacations are the best time to break ’em out.

Rob and I just returned from an amazing trip which was anchored in Las Vegas.  It’s such a great place to be when you have all the time in the world.  We wandered, we drank, and just took it all in.  When in Vegas!

Take Us Back, Tuesday.

Member last year at this time when we were splashing through the narrow streets of Venice?  OK, well we definitely remember and talk often about what an awesome Europe trip we had together last year.  Out of the multiple rounds of photos we took, we hardly shared the best ones including some outtakes.  Hopefully these can provide you a good laugh on this fine Tuesday or at least just a little internet getaway.

Winter Wander – Turquoise.

When it comes to inspiration, I find that I’m most inspired by colors and images.  One of the most inpiring colors is turquiose.  It repesents calm, beautiful, and has a natural feel about it.  Here are some turquoise images that I found to be inspiring this winter.

Free Friday.

I’ve been training for a 10k to feed the hungry in SF which I can honestly say I never thought I’d be doing since I don’t love running.  When my co-workers mentioned it though and that our donations would help feed hungry children in San Francisco, I figured now was the time to run if ever.  Last night while on a good run along Ocean Beach, I felt very grateful.  I’m grateful for a lot and especially these indian summer evenings.  I can’t believe my training grounds at times.  To end my run, I decided to walk down to the water just to take some last deep breathes of the fresh, warm air.  This is when I came across the most beautiful site, a man draping bubbles across the skyline.
