Queenstown Botanical Garden.

DSC_0653We took a refreshing walk around part of Queenstown’s Lake Wakatipu which held a frisbee golf course, botanical gardens, and a beautiful view of the lake (photos coming soon). We captured some great shots of the flowers blooming during a light drizzle on this brisk Summer day in New Zealand. God, I loved New Zealand.

I think there is no better place to be than a place covered in flowers.

Inspirational Monday.

When Nick and I were in San Luis Obispo for Easter weekend, I snapped a few photos of the roses blooming in the backyard. After editing them to create a new finish, I added in some calming quotes by Buddha. These could actually make great desktop backgrounds and serve as a point to remind you to take a moment to relax today!

Rose1(When you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky)

Rose5(To conquer oneself is a greater task than conquering others)

Rose4(What we think, we become)

Rose3(Those who are free of resentful thoughts surely find peace)

Rose2(The way is not in the sky, the way is in the heart)

Happy Monday!

Full Bloom.

IMG_8858With this beautiful coming weather, also comes some beautiful full blooms.  My landlord has a fantastic green thumb and the backyard is always looking full of life and color.  The gardens looked so beautiful the other day, I took some time to go out there and shoot some photos of all the beautiful flowers she has planted.  It doesn’t hurt to have such beautiful views right out your window first thing in the morning 🙂

Some TLC to a garden can really bring it to life.  I’m not sure how exactly she maintains these gorgeous flowers but they look magnificent.  Happy Friday!
