One of my favorite things about Hawaii is its vibrant skies. Sunrises and sunsets always seem to be extremely colorful and enjoyable. Since we had some rainy weather, the clouds also tended to light up as the day was beginning or ending.
Love the clouds from this day.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
I must confess, lately I’ve been less interested in fashion and more interested in adventure. I do love fashion but there’s nothing like fresh air and a new setting to get the creative juices flowing. Chels and I are ready to hop back in the game but I must give credit to some of my most recent weekend trips. Here are some photos I’ve been snapping that brought me back!
Lake Tahoe near sundown.
Lake Tahoe at sunrise before snowboarding.
The beautiful and clear water.
Morning fog over Donner Lake.
It doesn’t get much better than this.
Sunsets in the mountains.
What’s your inspiration?
A challenging and rewarding climb on Oahu is the Koko Head stairs. I’m so thankful to be healthy and able but this hike is a butt kicker. On Thanksgiving morning, my dear friend Amanda and I (along with one of her friends) headed up in the dark to the top of Koko Head to see the sunrise from a birds eye view. It was breathtaking and a great way to give thanks to this gorgeous world we live in. Then of course hang with family and eat lots 🙂

This hike is a challenge but short. You could be up and down in an hour if you were doing it just for the work out. I love beautiful scenery though and was so happy to enjoy the views and breeze from the top with one of my closest friends.

Last week I got to spend time in Hawaii with family just soaking in the good weather and relaxing. I love nothing more than a good sunset or sunrise and I made sure to park it right near the beach whenever the sun was on the horizon.
(Do you spy my mom in this one? Very tiny up next to these palm tree giants)
Each day brought unique skies and tranquil days. I can’t wait to share the rest of the photos this week!

I know the premise of our blog is typically humorous (at least we think) but sometimes I can’t help it. I just love pretty things. A lot of those pretty things tend to be in nature so I wanted to share some of the prettiest things I’ve seen recently. Most things can’t be done justice in a photo but I do love to try. Hawaii is heavenly and last week while I was there, I never fell short of inspiration. I truly felt thankful to be spending time with my family in such a beautiful place.
(I loved the walking/running paths along the ocean. You just can’t beat the views)
(The water is always warm)
(Sunsets that paint the entire sky)
(The baked goods are amazing)
The Hawaiian islands are magical for many reasons. If you like pretty things the way I do, you will be in pure bliss.
