Twin Falls, Keanae, and Surf.

I have been going to Hawaii every since I was a little girl with my family.  We go once a year to see friends and family and of course just relax.  One of the things I’ve heard about from time to time, but have never really experienced, is the Road to Hana.  When my step-dad, Darrin, and friend, Amanda, were up for the adventure we decided we would check out a few sites on the Road to Hana.  I wanted to see a waterfall and a special beach and I’d say we got both!

IMG_1576
Our first stop was Twin Falls which is a few waterfalls a short walking distance from the parking area.  At the opening of the path is this cute little farm-stand.

IMG_1560
The path ways are very easy and also very lush.

IMG_1563
There were a few wet areas but that’s part of what makes it so beautiful!

IMG_1553
We also ran into some bamboo!

After Twin Falls, we drove on to Keanae Beach which was stunning.

Those ocean blues never get old.

The Road to Hana is very pretty, don’t get me wrong, but I wouldn’t spend the entire day driving it.  The roads are squeezed and you can see just as beautiful sites on other parts of the island.  These two stops were definitely note worthy and would make for a great trip.

My favorites 🙂

I even attempted some waves.  I like to give it a whirl whenever I’m on the islands because the water is so warm!

Amanda and I watched the sunset every day on the beach with an ice cold beer, it was the perfect combo!

It was a great trip with my mom, step dad, and friend Amanda.  I can’t wait for next year!

Flea Market Finds.

IMG_8138
We love perusing new and old finds to pick up pieces for the home or even presents for others!  With Valentine’s Day coming up, the flea market is the perfect place to find a project to put together for your loved one.

IMG_8144
I absolutely love the idea of empty colorful frames.

IMG_8145
Fun trays and glasses, maybe you can even make your loved one breakfast in bed!

Or even just find a reason to be outside!

You may even do some puppy spotting!

Outdoor Outing.

imageThis weather has been too good to not take advantage of and we have another beautiful weekend coming up!  Last weekend we headed out to Mt. Tam and Stinson Beach for a full day of sun and beautiful surroundings.  What else can you ask for?!  I definitely recommend it for any fellow bay area friends.

Don’t miss out on taking advantage of one of the most beautiful areas in the country when the weather is nice.  We all know the fog is just around the corner 🙂

Just A Few Angels On An Island

IMG_7283

Since the weather has been so beautiful in San Francisco, my friends and I decided to check out Angel Island.  I had never been and my friend, Shannon, had so she knew it was worth the adventure.  You have to take a Ferry there which was actually a lot of fun!  We took the Ferry from Tiburon which is such a beautiful area so we decided to have lunch there first.  After we got to the island, it was beautiful sights for miles.

I definitely recommend this fun adventure to anyone.  There is a walking loop, a biking loop, and so much more.  They even have a little cafe and place to rent bikes right by where the ferry drops you off.  It was even a great place for families because right where you get off the ferry is a large lawn with picnic tables and plenty of space for kids to play.  We walked a lot of the loop that wraps around the island which was great for exercise, fun, and picture taking.

We hope you have a great weekend, Happy Friday!

Take me to the ‘Mo!

IMG_4832
Last month my entire family went out to Texas to see my brother graduate from pilot school.  This took place in a very southern point in Texas but we flew out of San Antonio when heading home.  On our last day, my mom and I decided to explore the town and take photos of what we found.  It was a great adventure and goes to show Texas has some gems.  (The above was taken outside of the Alamo)

Texas was a great time and I’m so proud of my brother.  Contrary to popular belief there aren’t saloons with horse tie up posts everywhere.  And no, cowboys aren’t running for cover from miscellaneous bullets that are straying from various shoot outs.  It’s just a place to go check out some history and enjoy a different city’s character.
