Let’s face it, after the holidays of non-stop eating and maybe a little (or a lot) of drinking, it’s hard to hop right back into your regular clothes. Cotton tops are my go-to’s in these times since they are nice and stretchy as well as very comfortable. I had an awesome colleague at my last job send me off with tons of cute new blazers and cover ups for my next job. They were a life saver after I came back from my Bosnian horse trip of a lifetime late on a Sunday night only to start my new job early Monday morning. I pretty much wore the same pants and black short sleeved body suit all week and just kept swapping blazers and cover ups.
(Similar, affordable styles here)
These were great gifts to send me off to a new job as they were very wearable and saved me during my jet-lagged week!

I can’t deny that ever since I met Chelsea, the most interesting events have happened to us. One day I got a call from a friend asking if we would be interested in being in a music video being filmed in the bay area. Of course we said yes! We LOVE music and producing and/or being a part of creative content (hence the blog). We didn’t know many details about it including who or what the video was even for but sent our info to the right place and BOOM! We started receiving emails about the “secret” locations and what our wardrobe was supposed to look like. The most fun we had though was trying to nail down the outfits. This was in our email about what to try to dress as:
They also sent this photo to try to show us what the wardrobe guidelines were supposed to turn out like:
We were a little confused but excited by the challenge! So we dressed up and headed to set. Although, getting to set was also extremely fun. We were given a secret location and a map and told to show up around midnight.
This place was awesome. The views of San Francisco were beautiful and it was like driving through a forest. Once we got to the location was the best part. My friend who works on music video concepts for a label took us around and introduced us to all the people that make these things happen. We ended up at wardrobe where they had racks and racks of clothing for the shoot. It was heaven. Then we got in line with the other people there for wardrobe. It seems we were the only ones who took the wardrobe guidelines to heart and tried to dress up. They were dressing everyone else and changing their outfits. Finally, we got to the stylist where they looked us up and down and claimed – great! We had nailed the look. And here were our outfits, or at least mine. Chelsea’s will be up tomorrow so make sure to check back!
(Forever 21 dress, Litter leg garter, Steve Madden combat boots, and glam Kat Von D lipstick)
(For the actual shoot we disheveled our hair and put twigs in it, they really liked that touch)
This was actually us AFTER we got home from the shoot. So much fun to be around all of the hustle and bustle. We found out once we started getting emails that the shoot was for One Republic’s new song and you know, the song hadn’t been released yet so we had no idea what it was. It’s one of both of our favorites now. We had both had a crazy last year and now are so much better for it which I feel is the point of the song. Check back tomorrow for Chelsea’s wardrobe ace and a link to the video!

Who am I kidding, I had one of those in the past and this is definitely an upgrade. So let me tell you about the best Valentine there is… Forever21. She never fails to bring joy, make you feel beautiful, and send you home with presents! This Valentine’s Day I’ve decided to slink into this comfy get up and eat all the candy hearts from this post while watching whatever Ryan Gosling movie I desire. I truly believe in constantly showing someone your love no matter what the day is to friends, family, and/or lover. Although Valentine’s Day gives you a chance to make everything into a heart shape or eat extra sweet treats. Don’t judge me 🙂
(These Forever 21 high waisted side zip red shorts are my favorites)
(The heart studded belt and cheetah manicure top off the outfit with flirty sass)
(Kat Von D red lipstick, BP purple wayfare shades)
(Forever 21 heart studded belt)
(Tuck the sweater in or let it hang loosely. Either way, you will be the sweetest Valentine out there)
All jokes aside, we love you. All of you who have continued to read and ponder about us IFL creators. We wanted to make you all a handmade valentine to show you how much we care but put us with Elmer’s glue, sparkles and construction paper and we ended up looking like life-size paper mache pinatas with no salvageable Valentine’s to give. Just know, you’re the best Valentine to us out there ❤
